Client: Queen’s Hall Arts Centre

The Show will go on!

The Queen’s Hall Arts Centre is a magnificent arts venue in a beautiful Victorian building in Hexham, Northumberland. Offering theatre, family events, comedy, music and gallery space, in addition to programming within the building, QHA delivers an extensive outreach programme bringing workshops and performances to communities throughout Northumberland.

As lockdown hit and the country closed down, arts venues were one of the many businesses that had to sadly close their doors. Having worked with Queen’s Hall previously on their amazing Christmas show “A Viking Christmas”, I was approached to create a series of posters to display outside the building. The posters were to have positive messages of their future return and a nod to the rainbow emblem that the country embraced during the pandemic as a symbol of hope.

Using a rainbow palette and bold shapes with messages linked to theatre, I create a set of posters alongside graphics for social media and for use on their website.
